Colour and Contrast

There may be cases on our website where text does not meet the minimum colour contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text or 3:1 for large text. WCAG 1.4.3: Contrast (minimum)

Screen Reader

1. Images on some pages do not always have suitable image descriptions. Users of assistive technologies may not have access to information conveyed in images. With the speed which content is added, unlabelled images can result, but this rarely affects the user experience, and we endeavour to keep this area monitored.

2. Some content looks like headings but is not. This makes it difficult for screen reader users to navigate the page.

3. Some links can't be used by screen readers.

4. While every effort has been made to make forms accessible, there is complexity with some form controls – this is mostly mitigated by field text labelling, but may not always be immediately clear.

What we do about known issues

We are working to achieve and maintain Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA standards, but it is not always possible for all our content to be accessible. Where content is not accessible, we will state a reason, warn users and offer alternatives.
