Health inequalities challenge fund

Healthwave partners with Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Integrated Care System as part of innovative new challenge fund

Healthwave Limited has teamed up with Cambridgeshire and Peterborough integrated Care System for the Health Inequalities Challenge Prize 2022. Launched in late 2021, applicants from across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough were invited to apply for funding to support their innovative projects to tackle digital exclusion in healthcare.

The prize was launched in partnership with Cambridgeshire Community Foundation, Healthwatch Cambridgeshire and Peterborough and Healthwave. Following the call for applications, an expert panel is now in the process of selecting finalists who will receive support from all partners involved in the Challenge Prize, including Healthwave Limited, as they work to make their project a reality.

Dr Rehan Symonds, Co-founder of Healthwave said, “We are delighted to support Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Integrated Care System on this important fund. It’s more important than ever for people within our local communities to be able to access online services in a world that has seen a rapid acceleration in digital since the pandemic. Projects like this to help address health and social care inequalities amongst groups that are often at a disadvantage are vital”.
